MVRcheck provides driver screening and compliance services to verified businesses only.
Companies requesting access must operate a legitimate business with a lawful purpose for obtaining motor vehicle records and related services.
To begin the verification process, submit an Account Request Form after reviewing the eligibility requirements below.
Section 2 — Who Our Services Are For
Our services are designed for approved direct end users, including:
• Employers screening their own drivers, applicants, and employees
• Fleet operators managing their own drivers and fleet risk
• DOT-regulated motor carriers managing their own drivers
• Transportation companies screening their own drivers or contractors
• Staffing companies screening their own applicants, employees, contractors, or placement candidates
• Internal safety and compliance departments reviewing their own company drivers
• Businesses referred by insurance professionals for their own driver risk or insurance review
• Other approved organizations with a direct lawful permissible purpose
Section 3 — Eligibility Requirements
Companies requesting an account must:
• Be a legally registered business.
• Have a legitimate business purpose for accessing driving records.
• Maintain a company website or verifiable online presence.
• Submit requests using a company domain email address.
• Use reports only for internal business purposes.
All accounts are subject to manual verification prior to approval.

Approved companies receive a secure Account Signup Link.
Account activation is completed after agreement acceptance.
Most verifications are completed within one business day.
Section 5 — Important Restrictions
Service Restrictions
MVRcheck approves direct end-user accounts only. Services are not available for shared, multi-client, intermediary, platform, or pass-through use.
MVRcheck services are not available to:
• Law Firms
• Private Investigators
• Data Brokers
• Background Screening Companies
• Vehicle Rental / Sharing Companies
• Insurance Agencies / Brokers (agency referral program available)
• Technology, SaaS, or AI platforms providing screening or MVR access to outside clients
• DOT Compliance, Safety, DQF, Risk Management, or Consulting providers requesting or managing reports for multiple outside companies
• Other third-party providers requesting, facilitating, managing, or providing reports for multiple outside clients or downstream users
API access may not be used to operate or support a multi-client platform, portal, compliance system, software application, or other service that provides MVR ordering, report access, or screening functionality to outside companies or users.
Insurance professionals may refer business clients directly to MVRcheck. Referred clients must apply directly and maintain their own approved account.
Services may not be resold, redistributed, or used on behalf of third parties.
Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) and PSP reports may only be ordered for permissible purposes in accordance with:
• Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
• Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA)
• FMCSA regulations
• Applicable state laws
Submission of an account request does not guarantee approval or access to services.
