Companies requesting access must operate a legitimate business with a lawful purpose for obtaining motor vehicle records and related services.

To begin the verification process, submit an Account Request Form after reviewing the eligibility requirements below.

Section 3 — Eligibility Requirements

Companies requesting an account must:

• Be a legally registered business.
• Have a legitimate business purpose for accessing driving records.
• Maintain a company website or verifiable online presence.
• Submit requests using a company domain email address.
• Use reports only for internal business purposes.

All accounts are subject to manual verification prior to approval.

Approved companies receive a secure Account Signup Link.
Account activation is completed after agreement acceptance.

Most verifications are completed within one business day.

Section 5 — Important Restrictions

Service Restrictions

MVRcheck services are not available to:

• Law firms
• Private investigators
• Data brokers
• Background screening companies

Services may not be resold, redistributed, or used on behalf of third parties.

Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) and PSP reports may only be ordered for permissible purposes in accordance with:

• Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
• Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA)
• FMCSA regulations
• Applicable state laws
